#MNPSMVP is Mara Morales – Madison Middle School
Mara Morales, who moved to Nashville when she was in the 6th grade, used that first year to navigate through her new school and to make new friends at
As she became familiar with the school, Morales wanted to become more involved and decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a cheerleader for the Madison Middle School Rams.
“My mother was a cheerleader in high school, and I thought it would be cool to cheer like she did,” Morales said. “I love to help people, and cheering is definitely a way to boost anyone’s confidence.”
体育投注The 8th grader has cheered for two years for the football and basketball teams at Madison Middle. As one of the squad’s leaders, Morales ensures that each cheerleader is present for practice and is prepared to learn new cheers and routines. She has even provided the cheerleading squad with some original cheers to use during the season. Those encouraging cheers have paid off for the basketball teams, because the Rams are headed to playoffs.
“Cheering for Madison Middle is fun. I make sure we are loud and we get the fans involved as well,” Morales said.
Morales is maintaining high grades in all of her subjects and often is asked to help others with classroom assignments or projects. She is an outstanding student, and because of her upstanding character, leadership skills and good grades Morales has been named Madison Middle School’s Student of the Year. More than 500 students are enrolled at the middle school, and she has the opportunity to represent each student with this prestigious award.
体育投注“Mara has a quiet demeanor, but her positive attitude and exceptional leadership speaks volumes,” says Jerrica Walden, Madison Middle School cheerleading coach. “She is a great student, and I have enjoyed having her on my cheerleading squad as well as in my classroom. I hate to see her leave and head to high school, but I know she is headed to great success.”
